Eagle's Wings
I am on the plane once again; this time with Bro. Froilan Hong and Bro. Ronald Tapia for the Catholic Fraternity Conference in Assisi, Italy. The flight was so full that I found our seat assignments in row 50. I dislike the rows at the rear because, when the plane encounters turbulence, the tail end is where you feel the bumpiness magnified. I was reminded of my nephew's advice that, if we would like a more secure and stable location of airplane seats, it should be where the wings are. Providentially, I was able to move our seats from row 50 to row 40 at the check-in counter.
When we came to the airplane, I looked out the window and I saw that we were exactly over the wings of the plane. The Lord spoke to my heart, "under My wings you shall take refuge" (Psalm 91:4)
I felt complete peace knowing that the Lord our God is with us on the trip. I can imagine us comfortably seated on His lap and completely out of danger.
Whenever we are seized by fear, it is always good to be reminded byGod' s reassuring words . Let not our faith be shaken. Let us have an arsenal of ammunitions in our minds by filling it up with God's promises from the Bible.
Isa.40:31 "they that hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soaras with eagles' wings, they will run and not grow weary, walkand not grow faint."
There is absolutely no one on whom we can put our hope into except the Lord.
Reflections:
During those times that you have been tested, have you noticedthat negative thoughts rushed with speed in your mind? This is because the delude of negative thoughts were meant to bring you to depression, and from depression to hopelessness. Because hopelessness deny the power of God.
Prescription for today:
John 14:1
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God, have faith also in Me."
