  • Sis. Mikmik Visits Hong Kong

TLF Hongkong Chapter was blessed to have been visited by Director for International, Sis. Mikmik R. Flores, together with her husband, Bro. Al, last August 7 & 8, 2010.

During that weekend, Sis. Mikmik gave Pastoral Teaching on the "Barometer of our Spiritual Maturity" to the Saturday Group ( Holy Family Household ). Bro. Al also shared some of his personal testimonies about their spiritual journey showing that service to God is an honor and a privilege rather than a burden.

A mini workshop about each one's strengths and weaknesses, The Guideposts to Maturity, followed the talk which supplemented learning and gave chance to all attendees to evaluate their level of spiritual growth.

The following day, August 8, 2010, (Sunday), Sis. Mikmik And Bro. Al, joined the Sunday group at St.Anne's Church where the 4 harvest classes (St.Anthony, Notre Dame, Holy Family , St. Anne's ) gathered together for the activity.

The Activity started with a refreshing Praise & Worship led by Sis. Mik, followed by a powerful teaching from the book of 2Samuel 12:15-23: to learn from David's example who did not succumb himself for the sin he has committed and the tragic death of his child did not stop him from worshipping God- his returning to God opens the way to begin a life anew and a new approach to life.

Sis. Mikmik's teaching reminded us of the great importance of worshipping God even when circumstances around us are beyond comprehension - still God is in control, as sis. Mik quoted ---, and to be like David as moving ahead with a new approach to life requires us to remain in God. We should keep on worshipping the Lord for the highest praise comes from great trials. Keep on believing and trusting on all of God's promises and wait for a divine reversal, but while we wait, we must also learn to persevere, knowing our rightstanding with God and knowing as well our priorities in life and in our spiritual journey.

Bro. Al, gave a very touching testimony on how God changed his priorities, and how he received grace in understanding Sis. Mik's calling to serve the Lord fulltime. At first, he did not understand it, but God's awesome goodness & wonders showed him that Sis. Mikmik's calling was indeed something beyond meausure & beyond compare.

It was indeed a refreshing weekend for all of us and a great day to remember.

The vist was attended by about 100 TLF members, seminar participants and guests from the household combined.
